I have had a much better couple of weeks! I found out the reason I was eating ALL the foods and have been able to put a stop to that. I only eat any junk food in moderation now 😉. I have been a lot less stressed out, so I am not turning to food for comfort. I am also sleeping better and haven't missed any of my workouts!
My Workouts This Past Week:
Saturday-5 mile run
Sunday-2 mile run/walk with my son
Monday-Strength
Tuesday-3.5 mile run and 2 mile run/walk with my son
Wednesday-Strength
Thursday-3.5 mile run and 2.25 mile run/walk with my son
Friday-Rest
I have lost 2.1 pounds over the past two weeks! Still have 2.7 of those pounds I had gained, though. 😒 Why is it I can gain 4.8 pounds in 2 weeks, but only lose 2.1 pounds the next 2 weeks? Just one of those frustrating things!
So lately I have been feeling like the honeymoon phase is over in my weight loss and running journey. I just haven't been getting those butterfly feelings anymore. I haven't had that feeling of accomplishing something I didn't think was possible. I haven't reached any new milestones with either one for months now!
I still feel like I am pushing myself, though. Unfortunately it is for results that I have already seen...getting under 170 pounds and running a Half Marathon. I am working on getting back to where I was last Fall rather than reaching for new goals. I want to be striving to achieve more! I want the "high" of doing more than I ever have before! So, what is a girl to do?
What do you do when you get the feeling that the honeymoon phase is over?
